The Hampton Inn and Suites Oroville receives largely positive reviews, consistently praised for its cleanliness, newness, and friendly staff. However, recent issues with vendor deliveries causing noise and a lack of amenities like bottled water have emerged. Overall, it appears to be a reliable and comfortable option for travelers.
This hotel ignored my room location request. They did offer to have me move to another room though, which I declined because it was more work than it is worth. This hotel is a water and energy saver, so it is very "brisk" inside the hotel in the morning. I was asked, but did not recieve my welcome amenities. Also there is very very low water pressure (a slow run from the shower). I came back to the hotel, with this posted on the doors...I do not know if it is a joke or someone does not know what a skunk actually looks like(is this a norse battle squirrel?). The breakfast is very very basic, so do not expect even "hotel" breakfast at this location. There are better hotels very close, so I cannot recommend this location. I will go elsewhere on future travels.
Apparently you have to beg for room service (clean towels/sheets etc). Don’t expect them to do anything without being asked to several times. The policy says they do it every other day, but I’m now on day five and my requests have been ignored. Maybe Holiday Inn next door is better? I’ll try that next time.
Had a one night stop here. Was exactly what I’d expect for a Hampton inn if not a little better as it appears quite new. Starbucks and a diner (I think) next door was nice but apart from that everything else was a short drive. Not a lot to choose from oroville but this property was very much what you’d expect from Hampton Inn.
This is easily the best hotel in Oroville. It is brand new, clean, and well managed. The rooms are spotless, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. It is my preferred hotel when I am in town for work. However, early this morning, Friday, July 25th around 5:30 AM, a Sysco delivery truck showed up and unnecessarily blasted its air horn twice while backing up. The lot was empty, visibility was clear, and the standard backup alarm was working. The air horn was excessive and completely avoidable. I happened to already be awake, but if that horn had woken me up, I would not stay here again. Management needs to make sure vendors respect guest hours, especially that early. Otherwise, this hotel is excellent.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I truly can’t recommend it enough. The staff is always so kind, the room is spotlessly clean, the food is delicious, and everything is well organized. You can really feel the care in every detail, which makes you feel comfortable and welcome. I’ll definitely keep choosing this place whenever I come back to Oroville
I've stayed at the Hampton Inn in Oroville over 120 nights, and I can honestly say it's one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff here are genuinely friendly, caring, and go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcome and comfortable. On more than one occasion, they've even helped with my dishes when they clean my room — a small gesture that truly speaks to their kindness and dedication. The hotel itself is fantastic — only 8 months old, so everything is fresh, modern, and spotless. The rooms are very new, comfortable, and well-appointed, with cozy beds that make it easy to relax after a long day. I also appreciate the convenient amenities like electric vehicle charging stations and a simple, satisfying breakfast to start the day right. What really stands out is the warm, professional attitude of every staff member I’ve interacted with. They genuinely care about their guests and work hard to keep the hotel running smoothly, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. I’m incredibly grateful for the wonderful stays and the exceptional service here. The team at Oroville, Hampton Inn truly makes this a standout place, and I look forward to many more visits! Thank you guys!

The room was clean and comfortable. I am a silver member and so expected water in the room. When I called down to ask the person who answered was curt. She told me they didn't provide water and hung up. The person who checked me out was a lot nicer and more professional. The free breakfast was good and there was lots of free parking. Overall pretty good.
We were in Oroville for our Mom's funeral and we are so happy we stayed at this hotel. They were kind, friendly and helpful in our week stay. From Joann from the front desk who made us feel welcome, to Michaela the night clerk, the security guard, who helped us with our car, and the lovely breakfast lady who always had a smile on her face, sorry I don't have her name. This hotel is clean, rooms so comfortable, beautiful lobby area, and the breakfast was hot and plenty of choices. We especially liked the security of the hotel, having locked doors and only guest privileges. We would definitely stay there again!
This hotel defines what the Hampton name is all about. New hotel that opened in June 2024. The GM, Sereena, and her husband (99% sure it's Rob) are 100% focused on providing an exceptional experience. If you are anywhere near Oroville and need a hotel, this is the one. It's worth an extra few miles!
