Hotel Katerina is a newly opened boutique hotel in Chico, California, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback for its stylish design, comfortable rooms, and friendly service. Guests rave about the unique decor, upscale amenities, and convenient location, particularly praising the rooftop bar and the restaurant, Rancher's Daughter. Several reviewers highlight the staff's attentiveness and the overall welcoming atmosphere.
Stayed one night and regret not staying longer to enjoy all the amenities. The restaurants various eating areas to accommodate a quite dinner or more social ambiance. Food is great original dishes and fresh ingredients. We enjoyed happy hour and breakfast next day. Customer service : all staff was very welcoming, friendly and atrnetive.
My wife and I journeyed to Chico’s gentle embrace, To Katerinas lively space. From the moment we crossed the threshold’s gleam, An extraordinary welcome felt like a dream. Check-in swift, with warmth and grace, A friendly smile adorned each face. The hotel, a canvas of beauty and art, With every amenity that soothes the heart. Nestled where shops and eateries blend, A perfect place where days extend. Though the on-site fare calls with charm’s tune, Many delights await beneath the moon. With memories made and joy anew, I long to return and bask in the view.
We stayed for one night in the balcony king. The hotel itself is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. Room was spacious, clean, and decor was awesome down to the bit drawer pulls. We had the valentines special at the restaurant and the food was fantastic, so was breakfast the next morning. Staff were all kind, professional, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. We will definitely find another reason to visit Chico again so we can stay here.
Great new hotel. So close to shopping areas, Delicious food and cocktails at their restaurant, and a super fun rooftop bar that has a great view. The music is a vibe. I found out it was family owned too, and they named it after their daughter. The chicken sandwich is SUPER good with really yummy sauce. Truffle fries with parm are amazing. The NY strip was delicious too. The bed was really comfortable and the rooms are spacious with HUGE Samsung TVs. Robes available in the room, green & pink! You gotta stay here especially if you’re visiting Chico State and want to be nearby. I didn’t get to try the fitness center but they have a heated pool for the winter, sauna, hot tub, and steam room all included.
We are locals and stayed at the hotel as a little staycation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved this hotel! So stylish and comfortable. We had a king size bed with a balcony and the room was huge! The service was amazing. Whenever out of town relatives or friends come to Chico we will tell them to stay here!
Loved the vibe of this hotel! This may have been my first and last time in Chico (from SoCal so the drive was LONG), but I’m so privileged to have spent it at the Hotel Katerina. I drove in with my boyfriend to attend a wedding in the area and let the desk attendant know when she inquired, and when we returned from the wedding she remembered and asked how it was! Something so small yet so meaningful to know that the staff there take the time to get to know the guests even on a surface level. The food from Rancher’s Daughter was absolutely delicious, 10/10 no complaints! Not to mention they have a gym with a sauna AND a steam room?? My boyfriend absolutely loved that addition to the hotel. In the event I ever find myself in Chico again, I would definitely make this hotel my destination again. Thank you Hotel Katerina for making my short stay a trip to remember. Also that complimentary peanut brittle?? I almost ate myself sick on that it was splendid!
We live locally and booked this room for a last minute staycation. What a pleasant surprise! Stepping inside was like a fancy Winter Wonderland. The decor is adorable, the staff is friendly and the price was reasonable. They have a good amount of EV Chargers, but if you have a Tesla you need to have the little adapter. If you don't have one, Target has a Tesla supercharging station literally a stone's throw away. There's a rooftop bar that looked fun, but it was too cold while we were there. The rooms are decorated very nicely and the coffee pour-over was a nice change from pods. Note- There's a price list for the room bar, snacks and coffee. It says coffee is $20, but I verified with guest services that the charge is only if you take the little container, so drink all the coffee you want! The bed was very comfortable and floors are wood or vinyl so you don't have to worry about the foulness of carpet!!! Another note on prices- the in-room snacks are local from Lundberg rice, Sierra Nevada/Joy Lynn's and Maisie Jane's. They are all very good brands, all of which I buy routinely. The prices were pretty fair for these, I didn't notice much of a price hike.
Very disappointed ? We finally got around to visit the Hotel that shares the same name as my daughter. My little ones were beyond excited to visit the hotel and attend the holiday brunch and crafts festivities they were advertising. They had posted online recommending reservations for better service, so we decided to make one. Unfortunately, we arrived a little late to the hotel so when we arrived we asked the front desk if it would still be possible to enjoy breakfast at The Rancher’s Daughter. He assured us there was plenty of food and seating available. However, as soon as we sat down, the server came over and practically turned us away and told us we could not sit at the table. She stated she couldn’t serve us without checking with her higher ups. Given how empty the restaurant was, this was surprising. Had it been busy, we would have completely understood and would've just enjoyed the hotel and the festive crafts with my little ones. Unfortunately, the attitude and service we received left us disappointed during what should have been a positive first visit.I was beyond shocked, as this was our first impression of an otherwise beautiful hotel with so much potential. We were looking forward to many more visits, but unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning. I will attach photos to show how busy the restaurant was so you can see for yourself.
What a wonderful place! I do mean "wonder-ful". The decor is a whimsical, well-done decorators dream! Everywhere, from the Rooftop bar (definitely a place to watch sunsets) and its bathroom (complete with its own elevator exit!!!) to the lobby, Farmer's Daughter restaurant, spa & exercise room (sauna AND steam rooms) to the pool & jacuzzi is special and unique. We stayed 2 nights & I was still delighted with the decor & finding fun new things. Then there's the people. Every single staff member we came in contact with was worthy of praise: Unusually pleasant & helpful. What a treat! The prices on the Rooftop are a bit high but well worth the experience. The prices for the rooms & the Farmer's Daughter restaurant are more than fair, especially for the quality of food, coffee & SERVICE. I wanted to adopt our waitress!
This hotel is stunning! Our stay was wonderful and the staff was so friendly. We enjoyed drinks at the bar downstairs that were 10/10. Beds were very comfortable and the scent of the toiletries made it feel like a high end spa. We can’t wait to check out the rooftop bar when the weather is better. Will absolutely be staying here again when we visit family in Chico!
