The Rodeway Inn offers a budget-friendly stay with generally clean rooms and a convenient location. However, recent reviews highlight inconsistent service and maintenance issues, including cleanliness concerns, outdated facilities, and connectivity problems. Overall, it appears to be a decent option for short stays seeking affordability.

Quick check in to a small tidy room, that has everything you’d need to be comfy. Microwave, coffee, tv. Bed was super comfy. Without asking much, and a price varying between $70-$80, you get a nice stay for a great price. Overall place is quiet at night and you’ll get some good rest. Highly recommend if you want a spot to stay for a night or two.

It's good for what it is. The rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. The location centrally located, so you can get downtown quite easily .

Most things work; the room is clean and large. I'm leaving a review because the room has an incredibly stupid design. There's a convenient desk and chair on one wall. But there are no electrical outlets on that wall (there are SIX outlets on other walls in the room), so I can't use my laptop computer for very long before I need to take it away and charge it on the nightstand, where there are plugs. Actually, the nightstand is so tiny that I can't place my laptop there; it's lying on the bed. This is just...stupid. This is an end unit - maybe the others have a better layout. Also, the bathroom faucet gives you a choice of warm water or hot water - no cold. Not sure what's up with that. All night I heard what I thought was the sound of distant traffic. Then I thought it was someone breathing in the next room. Eventually I tracked it down to the refrigerator. And the free wifi mostly won't connect. I wanted to recommend this place, but it has some issues.

I was so tired and rented this room online. The lady at the front seemed nice. She gave me a key that didn’t work 3 times, they sent another lady to help with it and she said, as it worked for her of course “you have to do it slow.” I had, done it slow several times; they were gaslighting me actually you could tell since the key is a card and those can be opened or not locked remotely! They gave me a room that smells so bad, like mold, I coughed all night then woke up with swollen eyes. The floor is hugely warped the steps are cracked. They decorated it like it should be in from another country and the staff like to make your stay difficult but they do so subtly. They gave me a room in the back, at the end and I believe might be the worst one on the property. I do not recommend this place. The pictures are not the actual experience. There is a big stain on the comforter and the green curtains are so ugly.Did I mention the floor is so warped it feels like a mountain walking over it! The stay should be free! I wish I could get my money back. I will never return to this place, it’s a dump and my room was a health hazard!

Love this place already. Very clean rooms as well as property. The staff was pleasant. My favorite part is all the plants and trees you can tell someone puts allot of effort into it. Not your average parking lot plants. Definitely will be staying here again.

Definiteley one of the best hotel experiences I had. We reserved our room at last minute, it was very late and the owner was kind enough to wait for me and my family to get there and pay. Room was perfect, bed was comfortable, super clean and had everything we needed, breakfast is included, decent and can’t really complain, we all enjoyed it because they had pancakes!! ? We were a little late for breakfast and they made no big deal about it. Really lovely family owned hotel!!

If you try to contact this place before 3 pm good luck! There is no answer even though from what I saw there is some one living on site and that some one checked me in so ...however, that being said the rooms are smallish even with queen size bed and bathtub....but the bed was neat and very clean with 4 pillows and crisp white sheets...crisp and clean! The room itself actually smelled clean and the bathroom was decent--there were no water marks etc. and the faucets were shining etc. It was clean...maybe a little outdated but clean. It was nice having a little refrigerator and a clean microwave etc. also there was an exceptionally large flat screen TV and ofcourse free wifi..The location of this little motel is unfortunate and the graffiti on the outside walls is very unappealing. It would benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Check in is 3 p.m. but check out is 11!! Not even 24 hours! That's a bit much I'd say...I like to check in way before 3 pm!

I stayed in this hotel several years ago, before the pandemic. During that time I was attending the California State University, however I had not solved my living arrangements in the city of Chico. So I was "homeless" for the first semester as a student until my apartment was ready. And while I was waiting for my apartment I lived here for several weeks. I can say that my stay was satisfactory. I liked staying there. Really cozy rooms. Nice and clean, not a single bug anywhere. Really affordable too. Free wifi is provided, so I could turn in my homework assignments for my classes. Very friendly, helpful, and reasonable management. Kudos to the manager for having a green thumb!
