This property consistently receives negative reviews citing significant cleanliness issues, including mold, mildew, urine odors, and insect infestations. Guests report issues with room maintenance, such as broken fixtures and stained linens, alongside unresponsive management. While some staff members are noted as friendly, the overall experience is marred by a lack of upkeep and a perceived lack of concern for guest satisfaction.

We got a roof over our heads, allergies from the mold and mildew. A friend of mine and I needed a place to stay for two nights and are not well off by any means, so even though we paid about $130 for two nights and the complimentary breakfast etc... that's a LOT of money for what we experienced. Mind you I grew up going to Motel6 in the 90s so for cheaper palaces I do have lower standards, but not no standards. *The front desk employees were very nice both when we got there and left. When we got there another guest came to the front desk asking for toilet paper and the response they got was, 'we don't have any more.' Not great and the first red flag, but also not the employees fault. When we got into the room, we were hit with a wall of mildew/ urine smell and opened the windows and turned on the fan in the bathroom asap. There was still water in the shower - the water damage to the floor was obviously causing the tub floor to dip and not drain water fully. Body hair was all over the shower walls and floor. The curtain was pink with bacteria and also hanging on hardly to the walls. The shower knob was hanging on by a thread and would make a horrible high pitched noise when turned on. Nothing was wiped down, swept or cleaned off. We actually cleaned all the surfaces with what we had before we did anything. There are no trash cans provided, which was a huge inconvenience after having to clean the place ourselves. The room service sign was broken so we had to tape it to the window, hoping they would see it. Towels had stains and the blankets on the bed were thin and old with cigarette burns. After seeing the state of the room we weren't about to trust the cleanliness of the bed or the comp breakfasts. We checked for bedbugs, luckily didn't' find any signs of them, but instead found a hoard of dirt and wrappers under the bedframe. We decided to not take any chances and ended up spending what we could have just put towards a nicer hotel into buying sheets and comforters from Walmart. Which again, not great to have unexpected expenses when you're already trying to save money. I have the receipts to prove the extra costs just in case the owner wishes to reimburse us to make some of this right. I've never felt this uneasy about touching things in a hotel ever. Again, I'm used to staying in not the fanciest places, but this was like being scammed. I'm really not sure how this place has good reviews. The photos make this place look decent and it's far from that. This is literally the only time ever that I've taken photos of a placed we've stayed at because of the condition. We didn't want to bring things up while there because of the already obviously not well ran details we saw and heard. Just wanted to leave and get our $100 deposit back.

BAD!! BAD!! EXPERICNE this November 2025 from room to , so call manager Ryan, let me 1st state first night I stood there wasn't too happy had a odor , and keep hitting my foot on metal bed box/ frame, but I just sprayed perfume and tried my best Not to kick the bed frame box, 2nd day we were out all day visiting family but when we came back to room nightmare began. I encounter one dead roach in my bed under sheets, 2 others on floor dead and 4 roaches alive in drawers, I immediately called front desk at 10 pm but there was nothing he was able to do, he stated manager was asleep he will follow up with me, next day came manager never did, and front desk person only offered me exchange In room, thats when I canceled the remaining 3 other days and went across the way, spent more money!!!. And still never heard from management!! So Monday came in had to literally walk over the the hotel speak to a manager and ask for my refund. RYAN THE manager was so rude, insensitive and refusing not to give me back my money for the days I didn't stay, he told me I just need money and im a scammer, and that I put the roaches in the room. He never wanted to give me a number to a management team, he was still calling me a scammer and called the police on me!!!! When I just came in to get refund. He was very insensitive,.rude and racist towards me, management needs to view video and fire him!! He is not management material..Please if any customers are reading this, please go to heritage or quality inn excellent management, friendly staff and better rooms.

Very dirty. Smells of cigarette smoke. Stains on curtains, bedding, and linen. Also, shower did not work. Front desk gentlemen Patrick and Sebastien were kind and apologetic. Unfortunately they did not have the authority to move me or to correct the situation. Management unresponsive.

The staff was amazing, they were very friendly and helpful. They generally seem to care about their guest. The rooms could have been a little cleaner, but even housekeeping staff was wonderful. Of course we came on a very busy weekend and they were completely packed.

The worst place to stay... it was 90 degrees outside, 100 in the room, and the air conditioner only pretends to work, even worse that the manager says that is how all the rooms ACs work. After 8 hours drive this is not what I was expected, so I moved to Motel 6. Manager says if you want a refund call Expedia.

We drove from L.A. 8hrs drive very tired and ready to relax. Ready to check in. We came for graduation week. Very busy week for everyone in the area. But that doesn't excuse the fact our rooms where dirty. We reserve two rooms, and both rooms where disappointing. Dusty, dirty towels, shampoo wrapper left in the shower from previous guests, floors werent swept, one pillow case was stain, didnt have a remote control. Management provided one once I informed them of the amenities. The other rooms issues are similar to aswell, the only difference will be. Under one of the beds, a previous guest left their underwear. Not sure how long its been there and they found a cocaroch. But that shows you how clean their rooms are. At time of check-out we informed them of issues: comments "we'll let management know" what type of answer is that! ?????? graduation week rates where high! We did not receive a discount. Paid and average $259 per night plus tax, for two nights. You do the math! We just viewed this weeks rate, they are listed at $77 per night. ???

I stayed here in 2017 and had a horrible experience. They put me in a smoking room (in and of itself, that’s dodgy because I’m pretty sure those don’t exist in CA anymore), it was dirty, and the customer service was horrible. They finally refunded half my rate after I sent about a dozen emails to the property itself and the parent company. Based on recent reviews, it’s just as bad now. You’re better off sleeping in your car.

Bait and switch much? I would give negative stars if I could. We found this super low price for them last week Jan 10th on 2 different sites. The one I booked with, even cheaper. After booking I sent a message to ask questions and received a short message that they cancelled my reservation because the rates were incorrect. I do not typically come make negative reviews. This property is clearly shady in their practices and I am about to make a 2nd review about booking.com as well. I do not recommend either of these places except to steer clear of them. I posted pictures showing that today 1/20/25 I went to another site to look up the rate of a different hotel to find $9/night listed for America's Best Value Inn- Chico. Again! Also a similar amazingly low price at Booking.com. I gather if anyone tries to book there they will be told it is a mistake and the price will not be honored. Even though it is clearly listed as a special rate on multiple sites. Oh, just to be sure, yep. There it is on Priceline as well with the dates so you can see that it is current! Show less

For a low end hotel this place is great, sure it's not perfect, but this price and location is, the room was actually cleaner than I would have expected. No funky smells either. The front desk was on par too, friendly and helpful.
