The Hampton Inn and Suites Chico consistently receives positive feedback, particularly regarding its friendly staff, cleanliness, and convenient location near shopping and dining. Recent reviews highlight exceptional customer service, including assistance with lost items, but also raise concerns about inconsistent parking availability for electric vehicles and occasionally aggressive front desk behavior. Overall, guests appreciate the comfortable rooms and amenities offered.

We stayed here for one night while traveling, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was clean, rooms were spacious and nice, and breakfast and amenities were great! Above all, the customer service was exemplary! Front desk staff were very kind, but what really sold me was when I left behind my AirPods and they helped get them back to me. I didn’t realize it until I was on the plane to fly home to WA, so I called the next day and they had them! Everyone was so kind and helpful as I worked through how to get them back. After I scheduled a UPS pick up, the staff ensured my AirPods got packaged up safely and I just received the today! I’m so grateful!

Cleanliness and rooms are what you'd expect, which is why I bumped it from 1 to 2 stars. We've stayed here a couple of times as we visit Chico 1-2 times per year. Our main reason for staying here is on-site electric vehicle charging (8 parking spaces with 8 chargers via 4 ZEF units). So why only 2 stars? 1) I was fortunate to get the last open parking space so we could charge our EV, with any other EV not being able to charge due to 7 unused chargers (the other 7 spots were all gas cars). I have nothing against gas cars (I own one too!) nor do I expect all 8 spots to be reserved for just EVs, but why on earth have ya'll not designated at least 1-2 spots for EVs only? This is commonplace with at least half a dozen other hotels I've stayed at, with SIGNAGE for "EV only parking" sign above the parking space. 2) We (wife + kids) got back to the hotel at roughly 8:50pm this past Saturday. Went straight to the hotel room, started showers and changing into bed stuff etc. Within 5-10 minutes of being in our hotel room we receive a call from the front desk that we're being too loud and they're receiving complaints. Really? It's not even rule of thumb "quiet time" of 10pm - 7am yet. We've stayed at dozens of hotels with our kids spanning months of time and have never had any problems or complaints about noise. We're those parents constantly whisper-yelling at our kids to walk quietly and stay on them, I'm all about kids behaving especially in public... Point being, getting a call outside of quiet time hours after literally just getting into our room is ridiculous. I understand Karen's exist and ya'll have to manage all guests, I really do, but maybe approach it differently, especially on a weekend at 9pm after it had been ~5 minutes of potential noise. Other than the lady at night who I talked to about the EV spots being filled (and I think the one that called me about the complaint) everyone was really pleasant and nice. Not sure if we'll be back. At the very least I'll be calling around for any other on-site charging options and likely giving them a try in the future. Note: when I asked the person at night if there was a way to contact management to put in a request note (EV signage) she said she would mention it to them... not confident that will happen but hopefully ya'll can take constructive criticism in stride and good can come of it.

The location is fantastic! it’s close to a shopping mall and many different food places. Chico is very beautiful! The service is also extraordinary! We had lovely Alyssa check us in and she was an absolute joy! She even let us and our friends have connecting rooms since we are on a roadtrip. The rooms are cozy and modern, although my only petty complaints would be that i don’t really like the faucet in the sink, as it’s hard to wash my face, and that the blanket is a tad bit small. Last night, me and the person i shared the bed with kept tugging on it to try and get more. I had to sleep 25% covered. Over all though, their breakfast is also nice, and i had a good stay.

In Chico for a workshop, Hampton’s was conveniently located near the workshop and highway. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby. Try Logan’s for dinner! Rooms are clean and nicely appointed. Soft water in the shower, the best! Coffee and warm cookies in the lobby, great! Tess and front desk team are very helpful and considerate. Very cold outside and really enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzi. A great place to stay.

Stayed one night during our annual Thanksgiving visit with family in Chico. We usually stay in an upscale historic hotel downtown but the rates there this year were really high. I booked the Hampton Inn based on the strong reviews. The place is newer and very clean. The lobby is spacious, the staff is friendly and efficient. Lots of level two EV charges outside the main entrance. We didn't have the breakfast but appreciated the coffee bar that appears to be available all day.

We brought our soccer team here to play Chico state. The check in attendant was amazing and took care of our party of 25 seamlessly. The attendants the following 2 days were amazing and effortlessly accommodating. Breakfast staff handled our large group with ease. I will be recommending this hotel to the rest of our athletic department for future stays

Stayed here the Sunday night of Labor Day weekend, on our way from Lassen to Yosemite. Good hotel, comfortable stay, and the room was spacious enough for me and a friend. The breakfast is served in a nice wide area next to the check-in desk, and was pretty good. The dishes made from eggs weren't that great, but there was enough other stuff to fill ourselves up with. There's a water refill station right outside the swimming pool. Ample parking and we were able to find a spot very close to our room. Also liked the decor of the breakfast area, and how all the food items were laid out, with fruits and cereal being on a central island, with other stuff in the back. Lemon batter for waffles was an interesting choice.

I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for years and have never encountered such rude and aggressive behavior. I had a reservation to stay with my cousin, but unfortunately, I fell ill and was unable to make it. I called ahead to inform the property, and a staff member named Derek assured me over the phone that my cousin could check in without me. However, upon arrival, not only was my cousin denied check-in at 12pm, but the front desk agent, Tisha, was extremely unprofessional. She was aggressive from the beginning, refused to listen, and even went so far as to threaten to call the police and demanded we leave—without cause. This is completely unacceptable, especially when your own staff gave us different instructions. No guest should be treated this way.

This place was amazing. The room was so nice, and we got to stay there with our dog which made the trip more special. We were left wishing we could’ve stayed another day. The breakfast they offer is great, and the staff was so nice.

Rooms were standard, no frills, refrigerator did not work well. I had a hassle with my reservation at check in, aggravation I didn't need at 10 p.m. and desk agent was surly and uncooperative. "Business Center" was a printer in the lobby, no computer available, but I was able to get help from desk staff to print from email. Breakfast was good, hot dishes were fresh. Loved the well- maintained indoor pool & hot tub, so many hotels have closed theirs and it's the first amenity I look for.
