Motel 6 Oroville consistently receives negative reviews, citing significant issues with cleanliness, staff behavior, and the property's overall condition. Frequent cockroach sightings, a dirty environment, and confrontational staff interactions are recurring concerns. While a few guests report positive experiences, the overwhelming feedback suggests a poor experience overall.
Some staff are cool while others are very rude and disrespectful and the way they treated for being homeless is crazy they put me on the do not rent list cuz of it and they sit there and judge me they called the cops on me for something I didn't do they are very discriminating they assume the worse the ac broke and I told the night person working at the desk and cuz My name wasn't on the room and my boyfriend was working late they made us suffer shoot being out side was cooler then being in my room not to mention they have roaches ans they said they couldn't give me a refund either cuz I'm homeless and how do they know it wasn't coming from my stuff
The hotel lobby smelled like cigarette, the property is full of homeless and the room was disgusting. We didn’t dare to sleep on the stained bed, which is why we decided to checked out the same afternoon.
Basic amenities. Pool is filled in with dirt and looks tacky. Showers are super tiny and low water pressure. Bedding has cigarette holes burned into them and homeless people are swarming the area like gnats...its a bad area...
Every time that I reserve for the night are nice and very clean and welcoming but there's a small cockroach problem. I've seen two or three of them.
It is clearly an old hotel not new construction as stated. Rooms have been updated there however is no ac i had to sleep with my window open and deal with the freeway it was so hot in winter. I had another booking for later in the week which I canceled.
Proof. You get what you pay for. I assumed the low price was due to the lack of… everything. Outside. Then after arriving, a few minutes into our stay (on work related overnight in Oroville) my co-worker pointed out a cockroach on the wall. I quickly stood up and ended it’s time here in earth. Said “that guy is not hitch-hiking a ride home with me. “ Problem solved. THEN as I went to the restroom a couple hours later, turned on the bathroom light, and there were at least 15 of them scrambling toward the corners. All different sizes. From 1” down to 1/8”. SO DISGUSTING.
absolute dump. cigarette holes in all the paper thin sheets , no heater in room. place is good for someone working out of town who just needs a bed for a few hours. other than that , stay away. roaches on restroom sink. floors trashed , laminate planks lifting. the hole place needs a remodel. the pool looks like a swap. actual grass and moss growing across the hole top of pool. If I would have had my family with me I would have left and went somewhere else. definitely wont be back.
They need to update their picture. The pool is no longer available. I was very disappointed to discover, after I payed for a room, that there are restrictions with their Internet. Their lobby worker never told me about this. So I got online when I was here, only to discover that I could not leave comments on YouTube, because its in "Restricted Mode." Nor was I able to access certain websites. When I asked the lobby worker about this, she admitted that this was a problem that they were aware of, but didn't know how to resolve it. (an important piece of information that they should apprise every single prospective tenant on). Think twice before coming here, because you won't have unlimited access to the internet. I have never experienced this in any other motel before. They need to get another Internet provider.
Received a top corner room with no neighbors on each side so that was a win! ? The room was clean and comfortable. The shower is less than desirable due to water pressure. And bring your own cosmetics. It's a Motel 6 so comfortable beds were not expected but the place was quiet and clean!
Rooms are decent . Staff is always rude . Located right by the freeway , right by two gas stations & smoke shop .
