The Holiday Inn & Express in Oroville receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its friendly staff, comfortable rooms and good breakfast options. However, concerns regarding safety, cleanliness, and the presence of homeless individuals are frequently voiced. Recent reviews highlight a decline in quality and service compared to previous stays.
Hotel staff was low-key spying on us the whole time. I don’t usually like to say this word, But, what the heck? Ryan Trahan, don’t test this review, it’s not nice
Business trip to Oroville and we stayed one night. The rooms were modern and clean. Delicious breakfast... omlets, country potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy. Way better than expected. All staff was helpful and nice.
I had the perfect overnight here. The front desk was super kind. The breakfast attendee, she was super nice too. The parking lot was pretty empty even though there was plenty people there. I was there with my little family, and it was amazing. I do recommend it because the rooms were great and comfortable and warm. We got the two queen size beds and it was comfortable. The only downside was that the tub was slow Draining. I would recommend it to anybody that needs a very good quality and low priced hotel. Holiday inn has always been a very great service and quality to me and my family. Breakfast had everything that you needed. And it was complimentary. You will not regret. I will come back.
Sunday breakfast by Roxanne was amazing! Delicious full Sunday breakfast spread just like you'd have at home! Biscuits, gravy, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, turkey sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, pastries, assorted bagels and breads waiting to be toasted, juices, and Delicious coffee! This is the only place we stay when visiting. Staff are so friendly and accommodating to everyone's needs. They go above and beyond. Rooms are always clean and the beds are so comfy. Roxanne, your Sunday Family Breakfast ROCKS!
Just awful. Homeless people all over the premises. Faulty lobby door made getting into the building super difficult. Night desk clerk gave me the creeps. Staff apparently try hard and do seem to care. Y'all need visible uniformed security 24/7. It is unsafe there
Stayed here 4 nights for work. Three stars because the staff is friendly, and the room service is done everyday. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast has hot food options. The downside of this hotel is not their fault, but there are a lot of transient/homeless people wandering around with shopping carts, on bicycles, doing drugs, and up to no good. Hitch cover was stolen off my vehicle the first night. There is only one washer and dryer in the laundry room and the dryer was out of order. No continuous fan setting on the thermostat so if you're like me, the AC cycling on and off makes for a sleepless night. Not a bad stay, but I might reconsider my options next time I'm in the area.
Given the nearly $200/night price for a weeknight and the IHG name, I had at least basic expectations for this last minute motel and they were not met. Although some of the issues with this Holiday Inn and its safety are simply due to the location and the nastiness of Oroville, more could be done, like patrolling the parking lots or something. Room was basic, sheets were clean. AC smelled horrible and was disgustingly dirty, filter and everything inside. Walls are paper thin. Huge amount of road noise out front, along with the Sonic fast food and car stereos. Found a moldy old pizza in the microwave and leftovers in the mini fridge. Front desk service was totally fine, but giving 2 stars for overall service given the way the room was cleaned. This is the exact same experience as the Day's Inn, which is half the price.
Everything is clean from tgr front area breakfast area our room The staff was the bomb they were all so friendly and helpful wish I got all their names my main concern was people wandering around at night outside we went to the casino cane home no parking but just the sidearm back u didn't want to park because of the guy that was drinking near the trash bin and an old man pushing his cart good thing the security told us just park at a handicap spot which I did thank you
Nice place. My room was clean and in good repair. And big, plenty of room. Of course mine was a handicap room so there had to be room for a wheel chair. Also liked the shower. It was an open walk in shower, plenty of room, extra hand held shower head and already had a shower chair so I didn't have to ask for one. Getting old is no fun. There was also a Keurig coffee maker with a few pods and a microwave, iron and a safe in the closet. Nice room.
Third time staying at this hotel. Third time visiting the in-laws in their hometown. (Update) On my fourth stay, I dropped it to three stars from five stars. Displayed pictures this time. Uncertain on the years since our first stay, there's been no updates to the items in the room. Wear and tear. And the stain is questionable.
